The Bolton Arms Bathroom

My friend Julie regularly takes part in the quiz held each Tuesday evening at the Bolton Arms pub in Old Basing, and for some time has been nominating Kileva to be the charity to benefit from the cash raised by the quiz team members during the quarter.

I’m delighted to say that her tenacity paid off earlier this year  when Kileva became the charity of choice, and am even more delighted to say that last month Jane and I went along to one of the quiz nights and I was presented with a cheque to Kileva Foundation for £1,300!

The Bolton Arms Bathroom

Up to now there have been only two bathrooms/toilets shared between 8 teachers and 4 pupils who stay overnight at the school premises, and this has caused delays in them attending morning classes.

Consequently we decided to spend the cash raised by the Bolton Arms quiz teams on building new bathrooms/toilets as can be seen from  the following photos.

Thanks

Below is a letter of thanks I sent to the Bolton Arms together with a letter from one of the teachers at the Kileva Eastfield Primary School – Mr Keith Kachiliu. As you can see the new Bolton Arms Bathroom is very much appreciated by all concerned, so thanks again to the quiz teams for their fantastic support.

Very best wishes,

Cliff
