Improving communications with Kileva teachers and parents

The Kileva Board of Trustees and the Kenya Operations Director (Margaret) are always looking for ways to improve the communications between ourselves so that you, the readers of this blog, are kept up to date with what’s going on at the school and in the surrounding communities. Email will continue to play a key role in that as will increased use of social media applications such as WhatsApp and Facebook.

In order to discuss this with the Kileva Primary Board of Management (BOM) and the teachers, Margaret visited the school recently to discuss the issues involved and to get their ideas on how they can help. Here are some ‘photos from the meeting:

Everyone agreed that they would do all they can to support Margaret in providing as much information as possible about what’s happening at the school, and in the local community.

After the meeting Margaret got some more good news when she discovered that the head teacher had been sent a number of books by the government. These are

  • 13 english text books and 13 for science for class eight
  • 13 english text books for class seven.
