2013 Kileva UK Team Visit – Saturday 20th October

And so the last morning in Sagalla arrived. As usual the week had flown by far too quickly and it was time to say our goodbyes to Kilele and Margaret.

First we stopped off at Kilele’s house in Voi to see him, Grace and the girls. Naomi had got permission to come down the mountain from her boarding school, but unfortunately Cliff Junior had to go to school that morning so couldn’t be with us.

After our sad farewells we set off down the highway to Mombasa.

Margaret came with us so that she could visit her relatives there and accompany her grandmother (third from right in the picture below) back home to Sagalla.

So that was it.  We had come to the end of an incredible week where we had once again met some remarkable people and animals in one of the most amazing places on earth.

Thanks again to everyone for making the team feel so welcome, and for giving us some truly unforgettable memories.

Best wishes
