In my last post I included details of the position each pupil achieved in the exams held at Kileva Eastfield Primary School last term.  Margaret has now sent the following note explaining how the school fared compared to other private (fee-paying) and open (non-fee paying) like ours.

Hi Cliff,

Below are position of each school in the District Merit Tables to see how your school performed.Class1

Class 1 took position 11 out of 64 in the combined list of both private and public schools above.  They took position 2 when only open schools were counted.

Class2

Class 2 took position 15 out of 64 in the combined list above.
They took position 6 when only open schools were counted.

Class3

Class 3 took position 10 out of 64 in the combined list above. They took position 2 when only open schools were counted.

 Class4

Class 4 took position 36 out of 64 in the combined list above. They took position 30 when only open schools were counted.

 Class5

Class 5 took position 19 in the combined list above.  They took position 13 when only open schools were counted.

Apart from that:

  • Class 5 was the best classs in the district in Swahili
  • Class three was the best in maths
  • Class one was the best in reading.

I think our school is good and it will perform well even in national exams.

Wish you all the best.

Margaret
