Mrs Ponga’s dress raises cash for Kileva

When Jane & I first went to Sagalla in 2006 we met a lady called Mrs Ponga who was a teacher at Kizumanzi Primary School.  Since then we’ve kept in touch and during our last visit we travelled to the village of Lalambe to see her new house and neighbours.

When we were there Mrs Ponga gave Jane a dress which her sister Jos recently wore at a Christmas party she attended with work mates from the Bristol Dental Hospital.  Here are a couple of ‘photos from the event:

I’m delighted to say that Jos raised £30 for Kileva at the event, so I’d like to thank everyone who contributed and of course Mrs Ponga for making and supplying the lovely dress!

PS: Below is a photo of me with Jos in a matching top that Mrs Ponga made for me.

PPS: I confess that the ‘photo was taken in my back garden at home here in England then Steve used a bit of magic to position us in Tsavo East National Park with Sagalla in the background.  The wonders of photo editing software … 🙂
