Hi Readers.
Greetings to all.
It was during christmas eve when all my brothers and sisters who live in town ie Mombasa arrived home for Christmas cellebrations. Madam Magy visited us too. During that time, the chicken, goats and cows had difficult time as almost in all the houses in the villages there was nice smell of roasted meat, nice meals coocked and different types of drinks were being taken.
At our home we slaughtered a he goat. My father prepared alocal brew called mratina in sagalla language. Different people were welcomed to come and cellebrate at our place. We prepared nice meal made of rice and meat called pilau in swahili language. This is a mixture of rice, irish potatoes, meat and some spices added on it. Its verry delicious.
After we finished cooking we went to church.
On the other side men were busy taking their local brew.
Apart from christmas party, we were also cellebrating the birth day of my father’s younger brother. We had prepared him a local cake called kinolo which is made from pounded green maize and mixed with ripe bananas, but no baking.
Everyone enjoyed christmas.after boxing day I and Madam Magy went up hill to cellebrate New year to her home.
